Leading our team is founder/co-owner Chef Joe Zhou. He was classically trained in Mainland China 30 plus years ago and had been the executive chef of acclaimed fusion restaurants such as Susanna Foo Chinese Cuisine, in Philadelphia, PA and Suilan at the Borgata Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ.
He long recognized the lack of high quality, ready-to-prepare Asian food in the industry. Chef Joe’s vision is to bring easy to prepare Oriental flavors to restaurants large and small, fine dining to Quick Service Restaurant. With emphasis in quality, he combined his decades long experience in Asian/fusion cuisine and profound understand of the American palate to bring this vision into fruition with the creation of AZ Gourmet Foods in 2009.
